We have taken a pro- vaccination stance as we are committed to doing everything we can to protect our customers, employees, communities and economies from the Covid-19 pandemic.
There has been overwhelming scientific evidence that vaccines reduce the spread as well as the severity of Covid-19. While we respect every individual’s freedom of choice, we do urge everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated today, to protect tomorrow.
The South African government is currently leading the voluntary vaccination programme, which we are fully in support of. We believe that collaboration between the public and private sectors will be critical in achieving success. That is why we continue to encourage our customers and colleagues to get vaccinated. Getting vaccinated saves lives and will ultimately help us rebuild our economy.
To date there have been around 85 000* Covid related deaths in South Africa, we can help to ensure that this number doesn’t increase significantly by getting vaccinated. The government has ensured that we have enough vaccines and there are plenty of vaccination sites per province. Some have been innovative that they are drive through, all you need to do is ensure that you are registered.
